Welcome! It’s time to go play outside!
Are you stressed-out, burned out and anxious? Are you struggling to be in alignment with your purpose? Is it hard for you to even remember who you were born to be?
My name is Lisette Meyers. My mission is to help others who are burned out, stressed out and anxious discover peace through the healing power of nature. As a guide and healer, I would love to guide and support you as you re-discover your own unique, and important life path!
Welcome to Inner Light Nature, a sanctuary of healing and connection with the wisdom of the natural world
My name is Lisette Meyers and I invite you to explore the wonders of Nature Therapy with me. As a mother, retired RN, certified Holistic Wellness Coach, Astrologer, and Nature Therapy Guide, I understand the toll that a busy life can take on our well-being. Nature has been my steadfast companion, a source of healing and renewal.
In a world saturated with technology and stress, I am not a therapist but a guide and healer, facilitating a profound connection between individuals and the therapeutic gift of being in nature. The essence of my practice lies in allowing nature to be the healer, offering its wonderful health benefits
The healing power of nature:
In times past people recognized nature’s healing potential, and today scientific studies validate its positive impact on mental and physical well-being. From reducing stress reactions to improving memory and self esteem, nature has the innate ability to bring about positive transformations.
Forest bathing, Shinrin-roku, was started in the 1980’s in Japan after the director of the ministry of agriculture, forestry and fisheries, came upon scientific studies which proved what many people already knew. Being in nature is good for you!
How does nature heal?
Nature therapy is a complementary support service, not a replacement for medical care. Drawing insights from the “Beyond Blue to Green” report, here are seven ways nature heals:
Biophilia- our inherent love of nature for being in nature that boosts well being
Attention restoration theory-being in nature is a way to unplug ourselves from the endless stream of information and daily stresses of life. Nature provides a respite and gives our minds a chance to rest and replenish.
Stress reduction – (psycho-evolution) Being in a natural environment is a lot less over stimulating than being in a workplace or urban environment. “We are evolutionarily adapted to handle natural environments”
Environmental self regulation – the ability to learn new ways to adapt to stress.
Relaxation response – we can go into a spontaneous meditation mode while in nature.
Maslow’s hierarchy of needs – Meeting higher level needs leads to self-actualization.(https://www.simplypsychology.org/maslow.html)
Aromatic compounds – phytocides or aromatic, volatile substances, released by trees, have been found to stimulate the immune system and reduce stress.
What does a Nature Therapy Walk entail?
Imagine a safe space where you can be present and connect with the beauty and wonder of the natural world around you.
When I take people on a nature walk I consider who I am walking with and design the walk to match the experience of the person (people) who is participating. Nature guides may use the following to enhance the participant’s experience: the 5 senses, movement, observation, awareness, symbolism, and journaling, to name a few.
We start by doing a short, guided, mindfulness exercise to warm up our senses. I may pick a theme, such as an animal guide or landmark. Then we walk, staying open to what is around us using all 5 senses and learning a bit about the history of the land and the plants and animals that live there. The walks are an average of 20 minutes but may be shorter or longer depending on the group. We will make at least one stop to participate in a theme-related activity that will connect us, at a deeper level, with nature. To end, we will have a short tea ceremony to close the group and give gratitude.
There is a short survey for participants to fill out which helps me improve my offerings and respond to the needs of the community.
Join me on this soulful journey! Let the healing touch of nature guide you toward a harmonious and revitalized self.

We are here together on this Earth, our mother, each with a specific, authentic purpose. When we are out of alignment with our purpose we feel it. It may manifest as anxiety, depression and physical illness. With guidance and support I can get you back on your path. Being in alignment with purpose not only benefits us but our entire planet. Spending time in nature is the medicine we need to heal ourselves and our world.
